Liposculpture is a volume-enhancingand regenerating aesthetic treatment for the facial tissues, which improves the appearance of the face both as a whole (recovering volume) along with the quality of the skin, which becomes more hydrated and supple.
How does liposculpture work?
The patient’s own subcutaneous fat can be used to restore lost volume to the face, harvesting it under local anaesthesia from the hips, abdomen or thighs, and then centrifuging it. This fat is then injected in small doses through very fine cannulae into targeted areas of the face, offering long-lasting results thanks to the technique known as “liposculpture with microfat”. This procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, without hospitalisation and without social isolation, while sports should be avoided for two weeks. Nanofat can be applied to nourish the tissues and provide them with new elasticity, either in isolation or in combination with microfat.
The treatment improves facial apperance by filling “hollow” areas such as the cheekbones, cheeks, temples or chin. Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA), microfat guarantees longer-lasting results, as autologous fat, once injected, is absorbed into the facial tissue and only part of it (about 30%) is eliminated by the body. Combining microfat with nanofat also improves the texture of the skin.
