After recognising a congenital nevus (a mole present from birth, often large in size) during a specialist dermatological examination, it may be necessary, for aesthetic or precautionary reasons, to proceed with its total removal.
How does it work?
The surgery is performed under local anaesthesia and involves the radical removal of the mole, sometimes in several sessions (usually two or three) depending on the size of the congenital mole.
After the lesion has been surgically removed, its histological analysis is required. The scar will be positioned so that it is easily hidden and as discreet as possible.
