What is oncological dermatology?
Dermato-oncology is a discipline that deals with the surgical removal of cancerous lesions of the skin, such as carcinomas or melanomas.
How does oncological dermatology work?
The surgery consists of the complete removal of the skin tumour and the subsequent surgical reconstruction of the region concerned.
What are the results?
The post-operative course is often painless or requires basic analgesic treatment (paracetamol as required, for 24-48h) and guarantees complete removal of the pathology in most cases.
